Industrial Visit to NASSCOM

1. Objectives

The primary objective of organizing this industrial visit was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Indian IT and technology ecosystem. Key goals included:

  • Bridging the Gap: Connecting academic learning with industry practices.
  • Industry Insights: Understanding the role of industry bodies in driving innovation, policy formulation, and workforce development.
  • Technology Exposure: Familiarizing students with emerging fields like Agentic AI, legal-tech, and data protection.
  • Career Exploration: Encouraging students to explore opportunities in advanced hardware and regulatory compliance through expert interactions.

2. Visit Details

  • Date & Time: 02 February 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.
  • Location: NASSCOM, Udyog Vihar, Gurugram.
  • Intended Participants: B.Tech 3rd and 4th-year students.
  • Total Attendance: 48 students.

3. Agenda

  1. Introductory Session: Overview of NASSCOM’s structure, initiatives, and industry engagement.
  2. Infrastructure Presentation: The role of HARTRON in IT infrastructure and skill development.
  3. Technical Session: Deep dive into emerging technologies with a focus on Agentic AI.
  4. Startup Showcase: Presentations and product demonstrations covering:
    • Legal and compliance technology solutions.
    • Data protection and regulatory platforms.
    • AI-driven hardware design and prototyping.
  5. Q&A Session: Open interaction with industry experts.

Induction Program for Employability.life Training Program

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is pleased to announce a Fully Sponsored International Training Program in collaboration with Employability.life and Federation University, Australia.

Students were oriented on Cybersecurity, AI, and Machine Learning modules, assessments, and career pathways. Interactive activities like Paper Airplane Making and Longest Paper Chain Challenge promoted creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. The program motivated students, created awareness of international opportunities, and laid the foundation for industry-ready learning.

Smart India Internal Hackathon 2025

The Internal Hackathon at DPGITM for SIH 2025 showcased students’ innovative problem-solving skills, with idea presentations, expert feedback, and mentorship. Teams developed creative solutions across themes like Smart Automation, Meditech, Green Energy, Blockchain, and Smart Vehicles. The top teams have been shortlisted to represent DPGITM at the national level, contributing to India’s vision of fostering innovation and practical technology solutions.

Cyber Security & Malware Analysis Workshop

We are delighted to share that DPG Institute of Technology and Management, Gurugram successfully hosted a Cyber Security & Malware Analysis Workshop today in collaboration with the ROOTxCon Foundation and M Cyber Academy, under the National Digital Suraksha Abhiyaan initiative.

The session focused on promoting Cyber Awareness and Digital Safety, offering participants hands-on insights into modern malware analysis techniques and cyber defense practices.

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hardeep Thakran for connecting us with M Cyber Academy and making this collaboration possible. Special appreciation to our event coordinators — Dr. Poonam and Ms. Jyoti — for their dedicated efforts in planning and executing the workshop seamlessly.

Workshop on Securing the Future: Software Updates for Connected Vehicles

We are delighted to share that the Workshop on ‘Securing the Future: Software Updates for Connected Vehicles’ was successfully conducted today under RakshaVeda – The Cyber Security Club, DPGITM.
The session was enriched with valuable insights by Mr. Mukesh Kumar, General Manager (Maruti Suzuki) and Mr. Yogesh Sharma, General Manager (Shell).

Seminar on Mastering Growth and Emotional Wellness

DPGITM organized a seminar on 18th February ,2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm for students as well as faculty on “Mastering growth and emotional wellness”.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Priyanka Verma, Head- Amity institute of Behavioral and allied sciences. Dr. Priyanka Verma shared insights on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, stress management, and resilience-building techniques. Interactive sessions provided attendees with practical strategies to enhance mental well-being, productivity, and personal development.

Participants expressed enthusiasm about the engaging discussions, mindfulness exercises, and real-life case studies that made the seminar both insightful and impactful.

Visit to India Energy Week 2025

India Energy Week 2025 was a premier event in the energy sector, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts. Dr. Sarika Chaudhary, Dr. Simpi Mehta and Dr. Poonam Sharma had the privilege of attending India Energy Week 2025 along with students from computer science department. The visit provided an invaluable opportunity to explore cutting-edge innovations, engage in insightful discussions on sustainable energy solutions, and network with professionals from across the world. Participants gained firsthand experience of the latest advancements in renewable energy, digital transformation, applications of data science and AI in energy sector and policy frameworks shaping the future of the energy industry.
