Virtual Labs Workshop Conducted by IIT Delhi at DPGITM

An Initiative by the Ministry of Education under the National Mission on Education through ICT

The Department of Electrical Engineering at DPG Institute of Technology and Management (DPGITM), Gurugram successfully attended a hands-on workshop on Virtual Labs conducted by IIT Delhi. This initiative, under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT) by the Ministry of Education aims to make high-quality lab resources accessible to students across the country. The event was hosted by IIT Delhi Outreach Incharge Mr. Chandan and Sr. Field Engineer Mr. Shivam Yadav.

The event was attended by faculty member Ms. Swati Sharma of the Electrical Engineering Department along with the students Saurabh Singh from 3rd Year, Sanskriti and Kamal from 2nd Year, who actively participated in the session.

About the Workshop

Virtual Labs allow students to perform experiments remotely, enabling access to high-end lab simulations without the need for physical lab infrastructure. The workshop introduced students to a series of Electrical Engineering simulations providing practical insights and digital learning opportunities.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Demonstration of real-time simulations in Electrical Engineering
  • Hands-on training for using the Virtual Labs portal
  • Student interaction with subject experts from IIT Delhi
  • Integration strategies for academic learning

This workshop marks a significant leap toward integrating ICT in engineering education. DPGITM remains committed to equipping students with modern learning platforms and looks forward to more such collaborations in the future.

DPG ITM College Celebrated Earth Day on the Theme ‘Our Power, Our Planet’

‘Earth Day’ program was organized in the premises of DPG ITM Engineering College located in Sector 34 Gurugram. This program was sponsored by Youth and Biosphere Club. The purpose of this program was to educate students on the importance of conservation of the earth and environmental protection.

On this occasion, Professor Rajesh Dhankhar, Professor and Dean of Life Sciences of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak was invited as the chief guest. College MD Dr. Preeti Gehlot and Director and Environmentalist Professor RC Kuhad welcomed the chief guest and started the event by lighting the lamp.

Autonomous Combat Robots Presentation at E-Summit Held at IIIT Delhi on 22 March 2025

Our students, Tushar Khandelwal, Saurabh Singh and Sachin Sharma hailing from the Department of EE and ECE participated in E-Summit event organized by IIIT Delhi on March 22, 2025 under the guidance of Ms. Swati Sharma, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

They successfully advanced to the final stage of the competition, surpassing participants from 40 colleges.

The event provided an intensely competitive arena for robotics enthusiasts to exhibit their mastery in designing and programming autonomous combat robots. Our team successfully progressed to the final round, demonstrating exceptional technical acumen and innovative problem-solving capabilities. Throughout the competition, our students gained invaluable insights into advanced robot design, strategic planning and collaborative teamwork. This achievement has further fueled our commitment to refining our expertise and actively participating in similar high-caliber events in the future.

DPG ITM Gurugram Becomes Official Nodal Centre for Virtual Labs by IIT Delhi Under MoE’s NMEICT Initiative

Proud to share that DPG Institute of Technology and Management , Gurugram is now an official Nodal Centre for Virtual Labs by IIT Delhi under the Ministry of Education’s NMEICT initiative.
We had the privilege to host today’s workshop conducted by Mr. Chandan (Outreach Incharge) and Mr. Shivam Yadav (Sr. Field Engineer) from IIT Delhi.

This initiative will enable students to access lab resources remotely and enhance practical learning through ICT.
