National Voters’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at DPGITM on 24 January 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of voting and civic responsibility among students and faculty. The celebration commenced with the reading of the Preamble by the Director, Dr. R. C. Kuhad, who emphasised the values enshrined in the Constitution and highlighted the fundamental rights and duties of every citizen.
A debate competition was held on the topic: “In the opinion of the house, the Indian Constitution has shaped and facilitated India’s progress journey.” Participants presented strong arguments both in favour and against the motion, covering the role of the Constitution in governance, economic growth, social justice, and policy-making. The debate was marked by insightful perspectives and critical analysis, showcasing students’ understanding of constitutional principles. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizers, participants, and faculty members.
