UGC – STP on Handling Diversity, Physical & Mental Health Issues

Day 1 Wrap-Up

रोहतक/गुरुग्राम, 9 मार्च 2026

यूजीसी मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र, महर्षि दयानंद विश्वविद्यालय, रोहतक द्वारा डीपीजी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड मैनेजमेंट, गुरुग्राम के सहयोग से “विविधता प्रबंधन, शारीरिक एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संबंधी मुद्दों का प्रबंधन” विषय पर एक सप्ताह का शॉर्ट टर्म प्रोग्राम (फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम) सफलतापूर्वक प्रारम्भ किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम 9 मार्च से 14 मार्च 2026 तक ऑनलाइन माध्यम से आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसमें प्रतिदिन प्रातः 10:00 बजे से सायं 5:00 बजे तक सत्र आयोजित किए जाएंगे। इस कार्यक्रम में शिक्षण एवं गैर-शिक्षण दोनों वर्गों के कर्मचारियों के लिए भागीदारी का अवसर प्रदान किया गया है। उद्घाटन सत्र में विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों और संस्थानों से कुल 178 प्रतिभागियों ने पंजीकरण कर उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया, जो इस कार्यक्रम के प्रति शैक्षणिक समुदाय की सक्रिय भागीदारी और रुचि को दर्शाता है। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और कार्यस्थलों में विविधता प्रबंधन तथा शारीरिक एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य से संबंधित मुद्दों के प्रति जागरूकता और समझ को बढ़ाना है।

उद्घाटन सत्र की शुरुआत विशिष्ट अतिथियों के औपचारिक स्वागत के साथ हुई। इस अवसर पर प्रो. (डॉ.) सोमनाथ सचदेवा, कुलपति, महर्षि दयानंद विश्वविद्यालय, रोहतक; प्रो. (डॉ.) कृष्ण कांत, कुलसचिव, एमडीयू रोहतक; प्रो. (डॉ.) नरसिम्हन बी., निदेशक, आईक्यूएसी; प्रो. (डॉ.) एस. सी. माइक, डीन अकादमिक; श्री गोपीचंद गहलोत, चेयरमैन, डीपीजी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड मैनेजमेंट; श्री सुरेंद्र गहलोत, सचिव, डीपीजीआईटीएम; डॉ. प्रीति गहलोत, प्रबंध निदेशक, डीपीजीआईटीएम; तथा प्रो. (डॉ.) आर. सी. कुहाड़, निदेशक, डीपीजीआईटीएम सहित अनेक प्रतिष्ठित शिक्षाविद्, गणमान्य अतिथि और प्रतिभागी उपस्थित रहे। आयोजन समिति ने सभी अतिथियों और प्रतिभागियों का स्वागत करते हुए ऐसे कार्यक्रमों की महत्ता पर प्रकाश डाला, जो उच्च शिक्षा में उभरती चुनौतियों का समाधान करने और पेशेवर दक्षताओं को सुदृढ़ करने में सहायक होते हैं।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत प्रो. (डॉ.) माधुरी हुड्डा, उपनिदेशक, यूजीसी मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र, महर्षि दयानंद विश्वविद्यालय, रोहतक के संबोधन से हुई। अपने उद्बोधन में उन्होंने फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्रामों के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि ऐसे कार्यक्रम शिक्षकों की शिक्षण क्षमता को बढ़ाने, शैक्षणिक कौशल को सुदृढ़ करने और उच्च शिक्षा में समकालीन चुनौतियों का प्रभावी ढंग से सामना करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। इसके पश्चात प्रो. (डॉ.) मुनिश गर्ग, निदेशक, यूजीसी मालवीय मिशन शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण केंद्र, महर्षि दयानंद विश्वविद्यालय, रोहतक ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि ऐसे प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम उच्च शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता को सुदृढ़ करने और शिक्षकों के निरंतर पेशेवर विकास को प्रोत्साहित करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देते हैं।

इस अवसर पर डॉ. प्रीति गहलोत, प्रबंध निदेशक, डीपीजी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड मैनेजमेंट, गुरुग्राम ने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा और शिक्षकों के निरंतर पेशेवर विकास के प्रति संस्थान की प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराया तथा इस महत्वपूर्ण शैक्षणिक पहल के आयोजन के लिए आयोजकों के प्रयासों की सराहना की।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में प्रो. (डॉ.) आर. सी. कुहाड़ ने अपना मुख्य व्याख्यान प्रस्तुत किया। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने कहा कि फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम शिक्षण की प्रभावशीलता को बढ़ाने, अनुसंधान उन्मुखता को प्रोत्साहित करने तथा शैक्षणिक सहयोग को मजबूत करने में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। उन्होंने प्रतिभागियों को प्रेरित करते हुए कहा कि वे इस शॉर्ट टर्म प्रोग्राम को अपने पेशेवर विकास के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण मंच के रूप में उपयोग करें और सभी सत्रों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लें।

उद्घाटन सत्र में डीपीजी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड मैनेजमेंट के उपनिदेशक प्रो. (डॉ.) मुकेश तथा कुलसचिव श्री टी. आर. नरूला भी उपस्थित रहे।

कार्यक्रम का समापन एक प्रेरणादायक संदेश के साथ हुआ, जिसमें प्रतिभागियों को प्रोत्साहित किया गया कि वे इस कार्यक्रम से प्राप्त ज्ञान को अपने शिक्षण, अनुसंधान और शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों में प्रभावी रूप से लागू करें। उद्घाटन सत्र ने आगामी तकनीकी सत्रों के लिए सकारात्मक वातावरण तैयार किया और यह संस्थानों की शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता तथा समावेशी शिक्षा के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।

The UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTC), Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, in collaboration with DPG Institute of Technology and Management, Gurugram, successfully inaugurated a One Week Short Term Programme (FDP) on “Handling Diversity, Physical & Mental Health Issues.” The programme is being conducted in online mode from 9 March to 14 March 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is open to both teaching and non-teaching staff members. A total of 178 participants from various institutions and universities registered and attended the inaugural session, reflecting strong academic engagement and enthusiasm among the participants. The programme aims to enhance awareness and understanding of diversity management and physical and mental health issues in educational institutions and workplaces.

The inaugural session commenced with a cordial welcome of Prof.(Dr) Somnath Sachdeva , Vice Chancellor, MDU, Rohtak , Prof( Dr.) Krishna Kant, Registrar, MDU, Rohtak ,Prof ( Dr.) Narasimhan B., Director, IQAC, Prof ( Dr. ) S C Maik ,Dean Academics , Sh. Gopichand Gehlot , Chairman, DPG Institute of Technology & Management , Sh. Surender Gehlot , Secretary, DPGITM, Dr. Preety Gahlot , MD, DPGITM, Prof ( Dr. ) R C Kuhad,Director DPGITM distinguished academicians, dignitaries, and participants. The organizing team greeted the attendees and highlighted the importance of such programmes in enhancing professional competencies and addressing emerging challenges in higher education.

Highlighting the significance of structured faculty training, the inaugural programme began with an address by Prof. (Dr.) Madhuri Hooda, Deputy Director, UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of faculty development programmes in enhancing teaching competencies, strengthening academic skills, and addressing contemporary challenges in higher education. This was followed by the address of Prof. (Dr.) Munish Garg, Director, UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, who highlighted the role of FDPs in improving the quality of higher education and encouraging continuous professional learning among faculty members.

Dr. Preeti Gahlot, Managing Director of DPG Institute of Technology and Management, Gurugram, addressed the gathering and reiterated the institution’s commitment to quality education and the continuous professional development of educators. She appreciated the dedicated efforts of the organizers in conducting such a meaningful academic initiative.

Prof. (Dr.) R. C. Kuhad, an eminent personality in the field of research, delivered the keynote address. In his speech, he emphasized that faculty development programmes play a vital role in strengthening teaching effectiveness, promoting research orientation, and encouraging academic collaboration. He motivated the participants to actively engage in discussions and utilize the STP as a platform for professional growth.

The inaugural session was also attended by Prof. (Dr.) Mukesh, Deputy Director of DPG Institute of Technology and Management, and Mr. T. R. Narula, Registrar, DPG Institute of Technology and Management, Gurugram.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is pleased to announce a Fully Sponsored International Training Program in collaboration with Employability.life and Federation University, Australia.

Students were oriented on Cybersecurity, AI, and Machine Learning modules, assessments, and career pathways. Interactive activities like Paper Airplane Making and Longest Paper Chain Challenge promoted creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. The program motivated students, created awareness of international opportunities, and laid the foundation for industry-ready learning.

The Internal Hackathon at DPGITM for SIH 2025 showcased students’ innovative problem-solving skills, with idea presentations, expert feedback, and mentorship. Teams developed creative solutions across themes like Smart Automation, Meditech, Green Energy, Blockchain, and Smart Vehicles. The top teams have been shortlisted to represent DPGITM at the national level, contributing to India’s vision of fostering innovation and practical technology solutions.
