A book review competition fosters a lively literary culture that prioritizes serious conversation and interaction with books, in addition to helping participants improve their critical thinking, reading, writing, and communication abilities.
Books have always stood by students as their loyal companions, offering wisdom and guidance through every stage of life. The Book Review Presentation provided an excellent platform for students to exhibit their analytical skills and engage with various literary masterpieces on a deeper level.
To promote the invaluable habit of reading, the Literary Club & Applied Sciences and Humanities Department hosted its Annual Book Review Presentation in April 2024. The event was honoured by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Savita Thakran, from Government College Rohtak. The event saw active participation from over 150 first-year B.Tech students, who demonstrated their passion for reading and literary critique.
Dr. Priti Gahlot, MD, DPGITM, judged the event and interacted with students, explaining the importance of reading books and the concept of communication and networking.
