Milestone Achieved!!! Proud to announce the successful inauguration of the “Centre of Excellence for Youth Empowerment”, a collaborative effort of ICT Academy and Honeywell under CSR initiative, at DPG Institute of Technology & Management by Honorable Director Prof. R.C. Kuhad.
The centre fulfils SDG goal 4-Quality Education & will focus in providing training programs for students to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of technology. We hope that this collaboration between ICT Academy, Honeywell and DPGITM will yield great results and contribute towards creating a brighter and more sustainable future for our society. Let us continue to work together towards achieving our common goal of a better tomorrow.
On November 11th-12th, 2024, a two-day inter-departmental collaborative event, TECHBRIDGE: Where Ideas Meet Innovation, was organized by Ms. Swati Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Ms. Bhawna, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering. The event was graced by the presence of our Managing Director- Dr. Preeti Gahlot, Director- Prof. R.C. Kuhad, Administrative Officer, Registrar , Dean Academics, HODs and faculty members from the Departments of EE, CSE, ECE, ASH, ME, BBA, CE, and BCA. Students from various departments participated, showcasing their exceptional creativity and technical expertise. The event emphasized collaboration, hands-on learning, and innovation.
The event featured three exciting competitions designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and technical skills:
Day 1 – Startup Idea Pitching: Our students participated in the Startup Idea Pitching competition, where they presented innovative business ideas, demonstrating entrepreneurial acumen and creativity.
Start-up Ideas was judged by Dr. Sapna Dadwal ( HOD-BBA), Dr. Simpi Mehta (HOD- ASH), Ms. Deepika Kalra (Asst. Prof. BBA), Ms. Mamta Devi (Asst. Prof. ASH).
Day 2 – Circuit Designing and Ice-Cream Stick Bridge Making: In the Circuit Designing competition, students displayed their skills in creating intricate electrical circuits. Meanwhile, in the Ice-Cream Stick Bridge Building competition, participants showcased their engineering and design capabilities by constructing functional bridges.
Circuit Designing was judged by Ms. Renu Vadhera (Asst. Prof. CSE), Ms. Meenakshi Gupta (Asst. Prof. CSE) and Dr. Ritu Bhatia (Asst. Prof. ASH).
Ice-Stick Bridge was Judged by Mr. Avikshit Sharma (Asst. Prof. ASH), Ms. Kritika (Asst. Prof. ASH) and Ms. Rashmi Wadhwa (Asst. Prof. ECE).
Our students, Tushar Khandelwal, Sameer Yadav, Sachin Sharma, and Rudraksh Bali, hailing from the Department of ASH, ECE and ME, participated in the Robo Wars event organized by IIT Delhi from March 29, 2024 to March 31, 2024 under the guidance of Ms. Swati Sharma, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The event offered a highly competitive platform for robotics enthusiasts to demonstrate their proficiency in designing and programming autonomous robots for combat. Our team successfully advanced to the second round, showcasing exceptional technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills. Throughout the event, the students gained invaluable experience in robot design, strategic planning and collaborative teamwork. This accomplishment has inspired us to further refine our skills and actively engage in similar events in the future.
Our final-year students of CSE/AIML/DS had an insightful visit to the IT department at CanWinn Hospital, Gurugram. This opportunity allowed them to delve into the essential role of technology in supporting health and well-being, a crucial aspect of the UN-Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The visit aligns with UN-SDG 3, 4, 9, and 17: Good Health and Well-being Quality Education Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure Partnerships for the Goals
Our students explored the incredible work CanWinn IT team is doing and discussed various software and technology challenges they face. We’re happy to collaborate and bring our tech skills to help them upgrade their systems, aiming to support CanWinn’s mission to enhance healthcare through technology.
