XPMC Review

Dear Readers,

I’m excited to share a significant milestone in my learning journey as a student of DPG ITM, Gurugram , immersing myself in the world of cybersecurity through an XPMC – Cybersecurity training program (Experiential Micro-Credential) with Employabilitylife.  While my primary focus remains on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, I’ve eagerly embraced the opportunity to broaden my expertise and gain valuable insights into digital security. Guided by our dedicated Project Manager Ms. Kasturi Adhikari, and Program Director Mr. Sugata Chowdhuri, I’ve begun to unravel the complexities of cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on malware analysis. Despite cybersecurity not being my primary area of interest, I recognize its critical importance in today’s digital landscape and the potential synergies it shares with AI and ML.

As I navigate through this enriching experience, I’m eager to leverage my existing skills to tackle new challenges and uncover innovative solutions in cybersecurity. Each session brings fresh perspectives and deepens my understanding of digital threats and defences, empowering me to contribute meaningfully to this dynamic field.

I’m also grateful for the support and encouragement provided by Honourable M.D. Dr. Preeti Gahlot ma’am, H.O.D CSE Dr.Sarika Chaudhary, whom guidance and inspiration have played a significant role in shaping my journey towards exploring new horizons in cybersecurity.

I extend my gratitude to Mr. Raja Dasgupta and  Dr Manish Malhotra for their vision and leadership in championing experiential learning initiatives like this, which have provided individuals like me with invaluable opportunities for growth and exploration.

Here’s to embracing new opportunities, broadening our horizons, and collectively shaping a safer digital future!

Regards
Mr. Ansh Kapoor (B.Tech AI& ML 3rd  sem)

Design Thinking and Critical Thinking: Cybersecurity: Ransomware

DPGITM and Employability.life collaborated to organize an insightful workshop focusing on the intersection of design thinking, critical analysis, and cybersecurity, specifically addressing the prevalent issue of ransomware attacks on 16th January,2024 from 9:30am-5:00pm. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to understand, analyze, and design effective solutions to combat cyber threats while considering the diverse perspectives of stakeholders involved. Twenty-five participants were selected based on a pre-screening activity carried out in December,2023, from CSE, AIML and Data Science field.

Innovation Tribute: Celebrating Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM’S LEGACY

To foster creativity, scientific curiosity, and interdisciplinary exploration, DPGITM Gurugram conducted a poster making competition entitled: “Space and Beyond: Exploring the Universe of Innovation” on 16th October, 2023 on the occasion of “National Innovation Day”. The competition aimed to inspire a deeper understanding of space-related concepts, stimulate scientific inquiry, and encourage imaginative thinking to unlock the limitless potential of the cosmos. The event served as a platform for students to exhibit their creative and scientific talents by exploring the endless possibilities of space exploration. The event was conducted in an offline i.e., physical mode at DPGITM, Gurugram campus.
