Five-Day Youth Red Cross (YRC) Training Camp

DPGITM College, Gurgaon, proudly hosted a five-day Youth Red Cross (YRC) Training Camp, bringing together students from 20 colleges to engage in awareness programs on disaster management, drug prevention, social media responsibility, and women empowerment. The camp featured expert-led sessions, hands-on fire safety training, and interactive workshops on civic responsibilities. Students took a pledge to stay away from drug abuse and the negative impact of social media, reinforcing their role as responsible citizens. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including college management and Red Cross officials, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.

Youth Red Cross Training Program at DPGITM

Youth Red Cross has successfully organized a comprehensive five-day training event at DPGITM, focusing on vital skills and awareness in CPR, First Aid, Women Empowerment, Cyber Security, Cyber Fraud, and Banking Fraud. The event aims to empower and educate students with essential life-saving skills and knowledge to navigate modern-day challenges effectively.

The program has witnessed the participation of 100 students from 17 colleges, showcasing a strong collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for learning. The inauguration of the event was graced by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Gurugram, who commended the initiative for its impactful and socially relevant agenda.

Through this initiative, Youth Red Cross aims to build a generation equipped with practical knowledge and skills, contributing positively to society’s growth and safety.

Ek Aas – A Donation Drive by DPG ITM Engineering College Faculty and Students

The Joy of giving is the greatest joy of life
Today’s donation drive “Ek Aas” inspired the students to be responsible towards society .The students not only contributed generously but also actively engaged in organizing and managing the event. Their efforts to sort, pack, and distribute the donated items demonstrated a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. The drive became more than just an act of charity—it transformed into a learning experience, fostering empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility. We visited Deepashram, Old age home and Dream girl foundation, Gurugram. Sharing few glimpses of the Event.

Vortex 2023

DPGITM (Dwarka Parichay Group of Institutions) hosted the exciting event Vortex 2023, a highly anticipated online competition, across two days in September.

Day 1 – 27th September 2023: The event kicked off with the Online Qualifiers. This phase allowed participants to showcase their skills and compete for a place in the semifinals. Enthusiastic contestants from various backgrounds joined the virtual platform, engaging in multiple challenging rounds.

    Day 2 – 28th September 2023: The Online Semi-finals followed on the second day, where the top performers from the qualifiers competed against each other in more intense rounds. The semi-finalists showcased their talents, and the competition level was high.

    This Vortex competition went well under the guidance of experienced faculty like HOD Ms. Rashmi Verma, Ms. Monika Thakran, Mr. Ashish , Ms. Nidhi, Dr. Payal Jindal, Ms. Megha, Ms. Sangeeta Vishwakarma, Ms. Harshita Sharma ,Ms.Anju etc.

    The Python Workshop

    The Python workshop, held on 24th March 2024 in DPG institute of technology and Management  from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, was a highly informative and engaging event aimed at enhancing participants’ Python programming skills. The workshop featured two prominent speakers from the industry:

    • Saurabh Sharma, a Data Scientist at Deloitte, and
    • Ms. Ritika Rao, a Senior Executive Data Scientist at IFFCO Tokio.

    The event was graced by the presence of the Head of the Department, Ms. Rashmi Verma, who provided valuable insights into the significance of Python in the data science and tech industries. The event was organized by Ms. Monika and Mr. Ashish, whose efforts ensured smooth coordination throughout the session

    Key Highlights:

    1. Introduction to Python Programming:
      • Saurabh Sharma began by covering the fundamentals of Python, emphasizing its simplicity and versatility in solving real-world problems.
      • He discussed practical examples of how Python is used in data science workflows, including data cleaning, visualization, and machine learning.

    2. Data Science Applications:

    • Ms. Ritika Rao provided an in-depth discussion on the role of Python in data science and how it’s used in industries like insurance and finance.
    • She shared insights on data analysis using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, and demonstrated the Python helps in predictive modeling and automation.

     3. Hands-on Practice:

    • The workshop included interactive coding sessions, where participants practiced writing Python scripts and solving real-world data problems.
    • Attendees had the opportunity to work on mini-projects under the guidance of the speakers, gaining practical exposure to using Python for data analysis.

       4.Networking and Q&A:

    • The event ended with a Q&A session, allowing participants to ask questions and get advice from the experts on how to advance their careers in data science and Python programming.

    The workshop was well-received, with participants gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in Python, as well as insights into its application in the field of data science. The presence of industry experts and the support of the organizing team contributed to the success of the event.

    IIT Mandi Live Online Session

    On 15th September 2024, IIT Mandi organized an insightful live online session at DPGITM College, focusing on “Essential Industrial Skills Beyond the Classroom” to help students secure high-paying jobs and internships.

    The session highlighted key areas such as:

    • Technical expertise: The significance of mastering current technologies and tools.
    • Soft skills: Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Industry readiness: Understanding workplace dynamics and gaining real-world experience.

    During the session, Ms. Monika played a pivotal role by explaining the importance of proficient skills in the modern job market. She emphasized that beyond theoretical knowledge, practical, industry-specific skills are crucial for standing out in competitive job landscapes.

    National Voters Day Celebration

    The National Voters’ Day celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm.

    The program began with a solemn and inspiring reading of the Preamble of the Constitution, by our esteemed Director Sir, who emphasized the values enshrined in the Constitution and their significance in upholding the democratic fabric of our nation.

    Following the Preamble reading, a debate competition was held, which showcased the eloquence and analytical skills of the participants.

    National Girl Child Day 2025

    Under the National Girl Child Day, we on behalf of DPGITM family organized the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Abhiyan at Village- Islampur (Haslapur), Gurugram, a program aimed at highlighting the importance of ensuring the safety, education, and equality of daughters in society.

    Through this initiative, we pledged to empower our daughters and secure their rights. The program featured awareness campaigns, interactive sessions, and cultural performances, all delivering the message of saving and educating the girl child.

    As part of the campaign, we conducted door-to-door interactions to spread awareness and engage directly with families.
    We also organized role-play activities to showcase the inspiring stories of successful daughters, emphasizing the value of education and opportunities for girls.
    Additionally, we had meaningful conversations with the elderly members of the community, seeking their blessings and support for the cause.

    Let us come together to work for the bright future of our daughters and build a strong and empowered society.
