Department Overview
Gone are the days when people used to enroll for conventional undergraduate programs such as BA, B.Com and B.Sc. These days’ youngsters have moved towards professional and vocational courses which gives them an extra edge over other graduates. BBA is one of such program, which has now become quite popular with the students.
After completing class XII board exam, students can apply to various private and government colleges offering BBA programs. BBA course aims at exploring management skills in the students. The course curriculum is designed in such a way so as to develop basic business and management skills in the students.
The course structure basically focuses on detailed study of business administration. It involves detailed study of different aspects of the business and managing its operations. It equips the students with the latest business knowledge to meet the requirements of changing corporate firms. The project work or summer training after the 4th semester inculcates real time business situations and decision making skills in students.

I’m delighted to welcome you all to the DPGITM College’s Business Administration (BBA) Department. The Department of Business Administration is a well-known, vibrant, and forward-thinking department. It is dedicated to continuing to be a leader in research, teaching, and entrepreneurship.
As the department of business administration, it is our goal to give our students the modern information and abilities required for the discipline of business administration, which is a universal one. Our BBA programme is created to educate aspiring business owners and professionals in accordance with the demands of regional and international job markets.
Our department’s foundation is made up of highly skilled and certified faculty members who are committed to instructing in a setting that is always changing. We strive to develop our students not only academically but also through a variety of co-curricular activities like business visits, guest lectures, internships, and other skill-building activities like personality development, in order to meet the growing need in industry. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is an undergraduate education course under management and administrative studies. It is a professional course which can be pursued by the students after completing 12th class. The course includes three academic years consisting two semesters each year. Eligibility criteria for the course are according to MDU, Rohtak.
Course Structure
The course structure essentially centers on detailed investigation of business administration. It includes detailed investigation of various parts of the business and dealing with its tasks. It furnishes the students with the most recent business information to meet the prerequisites of changing corporate firms. The summer training after the fourth semester teaches constant business circumstances and dynamic abilities in the students.
This general administration course covers essential points like business ac.inanization, business mathematics, and fundamentals of computer, financial accounting, communication skills, macro and micro economics, management concepts, ac.inanizational behaviour, business statistics, marketing management. Human resource management, financial management, business law, business research methods, environmental studies, international business, income tax, consumer protection etc.
Scope and Future Prospects
After getting the degree of BBA course, there are abundant opportunities for every graduate to pursue further for a good future. A BBA graduate can opt for jobs in private as well as government sectors. There are number of recruiters in the corporate industry who look for under graduates with business administration skills. BBA graduates may fill in as the executive professionals in numerous ac.inanizations. On the off chance that you break down the chain of command and structure of any industry or association, you will have the option to see that administration experts are the ones who direct the working of the entire business or association. Also there are various government ac.inanizations that are looking for BBA graduates for the accounts and finance sectors. The distinguished ability of analyzing, planning and managing work will be beneficial for the students to work in the government sector in the long run. In both the sectors, the aspirants can get decent salary packages and can work in any of the field viz. advertising, banking, information technology, offline marketing, Finance, entertainment, consultancy, digital marketing, manufacturing and media. Under BBA course, a student is also taught about various aspects of running a business; thereby it promotes and enhances entrepreneurship skills among students. Hence, the doors to become an entrepreneur are also open for every business graduate.
Though, if the undergraduate BBA student wants to pursue higher education, he/she has multiple options to choose from the various post graduate courses such as MBA, PGDM, MMS, etc.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Objective of BBA program at ASB is to equip students with the ability to integrate the knowledge from various disciplines, develop logical & critical thinking wherein they can recognize and solve problems, weigh & understand ethical issues and communicate effectively. Within this broad framework following program educational objectives are stated:
PEO 1: Provide students with attitude and aptitude to identify, analyze and develop business opportunities as well as solve business problems
PEO 2: Develop the ability in students for strategic planning, leadership and team building across borders
PEO 3: Instil and hone the skills in students by knowledge transfer for making them competent management professionals through application of the acquired knowledge and skills; and to develop their written and oral communication competencies to enhance managerial effectiveness
PEO 4: Enhance students’ appreciation of the values of social responsibility, legal and ethical principles and corporate governance as a global citizen

Computer lab at Department of BBA is fully geared up to support students in their endeavor to learn and equip themselves with the latest software in demand in the corporate world. The computer labs are fully equipped with latest software and various application programs to help students get a hands-on experience The lab has 60 terminals for PG and UG students, the facilty is being utilized by Faculty team as well. The lab is well connected with a broadband connection and systems are protected by a robust Firewall.

Quiz Competetion

Quizzing is not just about knowledge, but about connecting the dots, reading between the lines and arriving at conclusion.
To widen the scope of learning and give students a break from traditional classroom teaching, management quiz was conducted in Department of Management Studies on 27th Sept 2022. Students of BBA proactively volunteered as Quiz Coordinators in organizing the quiz. Students who participated as team members, played the quiz will full zeal and vigour.
This management quiz not only had the obvious academic benefits of expanding the students’ knowledge, but also facilitated students with an interactive platform and gave them opportunity to hone their writing skills.
HR Club
HR Club is a platform for students interested in human resources to learn, collaborate and share insights. The club activities can help students develop their knowledge and skills in the field and prepare them for campus recruitment. HR club can also help students explore the roles of HR professionals in corporate and develop their planning and organizational skills.

Department of management studies at DPGITM, Gurgaon organised an industrial visit for its students of BBA.
The objective of the industrial visit was to help students to combine their theoretical knowledge of business operations with the practical knowledge of its actual functioning and to provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction and working methods.
It was a worthwhile learning experience for the students as they gained an understanding of how an industry operates. Learning about the Operations, Management, Good Practices, Technology Involved, and Supply Chain Management exposed students to a plethora of relevant fields.
Entrepreneurship Club
Entrepreneurship Club provides learning environment that help students develop their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. It helps students turn their ideas into businesses and can also help them develop contacts with entrepreneurs that could lead to future opportunities. This club aims to establish a peer network of students who are inclined towards entrepreneurship and help them connect with the relevant stakeholders through events, associations and more. This will help students to turn their ideas and passions into businesses and will help to develop future business leaders.
