Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has transitioned from a futuristic concept to a cornerstone of modern industry. This expert talk serves as a foundational bridge for students to understand how large language models and creative AI tools are reshaping the professional landscape. The target audience includes collage students who seek to integrate AI into their future skills.
Objectives:
- To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Generative AI architectures.
- To demonstrate practical life skills by automating repetitive tasks using AI tools.
- To foster innovation by exploring the creative potential of text-to-image and text-to-code models.
Participants: Faculties and all the students of BCA 2nd year, B.Tech 3rd year DPGITM.
Brief Report
Under the initiative of technological advancement, the DPGITM CAD department organized a seminar on “Insides Generative AI.” The program aimed at understanding the concept of generative AI. Through this initiative, we pledged to empower our students with the latest digital literacy to secure their professional rights in an AI-driven market.
The program featured interactive Q&A sessions, and some real-world case studies (Bhashini app), all delivering the message of responsible innovation. Additionally, we had meaningful conversations with industry experts regarding the future of the job market, seeking their guidance and support for our student’s career paths.

- Theoretical Explanation: Deep dive into Generative AI (LNN model), RAG.
- Understanding the difference between discriminative and generative AI.
- Mastering “Prompt Engineering” as a vital 21st-century skill.
- Recognizing the limitations and “hallucinations” of current AI models.
Conclusion: This expert talk concluded that Generative AI is no longer a peripheral technology but a fundamental layer of modern professional and academic infrastructure. Its value lies not in replacing human effort, but in its ability to handle the “heavy lifting” of data synthesis and initial drafting, creative problem-solving, and quality control.
